The light before the storm….

Seeing double!!

As every-time a storm arrives in Les Landes the beach is buzzing with hordes of spectators waiting for the cracking lightshow that is sure to dazzle! We were sipping a Hinako at Le Surfing relaxing after a day on the beach when we heard the first booms of the approaching tempest followed by the bright spikes illuminating a darkening sky… Pumps, Tom and myself ran to our spots on the beach just in time to get a few shots! As always its difficult to capture lightning and we only had minutes before it turned torrential! But we had a go…..

First frame and a fork.. Lucky....

Another...Devils pitchfork...

Pumps moving and grooving into a 30 sec exposure...

Straight down...
